WOODBURY - People across Long Island are stopping at convenience stores and groceries today to grab a Powerball ticket -- or two, or three.

The jackpot for tonight's drawing is at $300 million. It's not a record-breaker like the $590 million jackpot back in May, but it's a lot of cash, and many Long Islanders are hoping that the odds are in their favor.

The odds, however, of matching all six numbers are about 1 in 175 million. The drawing will be held at 11 p.m.
