GARDEN CITY - Long Islanders were out in full force today for last-minute Christmas shopping.

'Super Saturday' is the second busiest holiday shopping day of the year. Data from the National Retail Federation reveals that the average person has only completed about 56 percent of their shopping by this time of the year. Only 11 percent of consumers have totally completed their shopping.

A new study from the UK found that last-minute shoppers often make the best choices because they're making intuitive decisions.

The National Retail Federation says about 4 percent of consumers will do their shopping after Christmas, and a good portion of them will actually shop online on Christmas.
