Many people will head to DC this weekend in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic day.

WOODBURY - Many Long Islanders are heading to the nation's capital tomorrow to mark the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington.

King made his famous "I Have a Dream" speech on August 28, 1963.

Thousands of people will mark the anniversary at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial this weekend.

Many Civil Rights groups and Labor Unions from Long Island will head to D.C. by bus.
