With temperatures in the 80s and clear skies above, tens of thousands of people headed to Jones Beach to make the most of their holiday

JONES BEACH - With temperatures in the 80s and clear skies above, tens of thousands of people headed to Jones Beach to make the most of their holiday weekend.Some beachgoers frolicked in the surf, enjoying the 72-degree waters while others worked on their tan, or played volleyball.Veteran lifeguard Capt. Jay Levy says today there was no riptide, the waves were minimal and the water was clear.Tomorrow is expected to be a perfect day for surfers, with big waves in the forecast.
