LEVITTOWN - It is day three of the hot and humid weather across the area and many residents are looking to cool off in the pool. Kids will be heading to their backyard and town pools and officials say to keep pool safety in mind.

Some tips are to follow the rules and regulations of lifeguards on duty and to know your limits when swimming.

Storms are expected to move through the area later today and as a safety precaution swimmers should keep in mind to stay out of the pool when lightning is present. News 12 Weather Center
