MALVERNE - A Malverne woman has pleaded guilty to driving through a construction zone while she was high on drugs.
The incident happened on Rockaway Boulevard and 150th Street in Queens in 2009.
Prosecutors say Yolanda Silvera was high on crack cocaine when she plowed into two flagmen in the construction zone.
One of the workers' legs had to be amputated.
According to Newsday, Silvera is expected to get nine years in prison when she is sentenced.
