WOODBURY - A Lake Grove teen is pushing state lawmakers to pass legislation expected to be introduced tomorrow that would criminalize cyber-bullying.

Jamie Isaac, 16, is going to Albany tomorrow with state Sen. Jeffery Klein (D- The Bronx) to introduce a bill that would make it a misdemeanor to cyber-bully a victim under the age of 21. If the victim were to commit suicide because of the cyber-bullying, the bully could be charged with second-degree murder.

Isaac says she has been a victim of bullying in person and online for nearly half her life. She says that bullying has gotten so bad at points that she was forced to transfer to a new school to get away from bullies.
