LI mom leads Dowling's Golden Lions
BAY SHORE - A Long Island mom is leading Dowling College's Golden Lions to victory.
Basketball player Danielle Wilson, 24, starred at nationally ranked Baylor University for three seasons. But in 2009, she decided to come home to Long Island to have her child, Kingsley.
After a couple of years of being a mom, Wilson had the itch to play hoops again. With one year left of eligibility, Wilson enrolled at Dowling College and was accepted as a Golden Lion.

Coaches say they love Wilson's 18 points and 10 rebounds per game — not bad for the mom of the group.
