LEVITTOWN - A Levittown woman is claiming that a snake was hiding inside something she bought at HomeGoods.

Natalie Malik says she bought a bag of potpourri from the Riverhead HomeGoods this past weekend.

The next day, Malik says she began to hear pieces of the potpourri drop on the floor from the dish on the table. When she sifted her hand through the item, she found an 8-inch strip of fresh snake skin.

Malik believes the snake is loose in her house. A reptile shop worker spent Monday trying to help her find it, setting up traps and lining doorways with baking powder with the hope of tracing the snake's tracks.
