WOODBURY - The legal battle continues today over a plan that Nassau County Democrats say is designed to weaken them politically.

Based on new census figures, Republican lawmakers redrew the lines that make up legislative districts in the county, but Democrats say the new districts are purposely skewed in favor of the GOP and will weaken minority representation as well.

Democrats went to court over the plan and today, the Nassau County attorney has to submit papers to a judge defending the new districts.
