Lease between Nassau, Ratner on Coliseum approved

UNIONDALE - The Nassau County Planning Commission and the Open Space and Parks Advisory committee both approved the lease between the county and Forest City Ratner.

The plan calls for a renovated 13,000-seat arena and has the Islanders playing six games in Uniondale.

The proposal now moves to the Nassau Legislature for approval in September.
