YAPHANK - The Suffolk Legislature is expected to hold a vote tonight in an attempt to override County Executive Steve Levy's (R-Suffolk) veto of a plan to fund the John Foley Nursing Home.

If lawmakers are successful, the nursing home would continue to care for patients and keep 250 workers employed through the end of 2011.

However, Levy says doing so would leave a $17 million hole in the 2011 budget.

Meanwhile, legislators are looking into finding a new operator for the Yaphank facility.
