NEW HYDE PARK - A New Hyde Park man who admitted to starting a fire that destroyed the Tamarac Lodge in upstate Ellenville was back in court today.

Lance Muckenhaupt turned himself in to the Ulster County sheriff yesterday. The 57-year-old was supposed to be sentenced last week for burning a bush without a permit, starting a fire that destroyed 44 buildings.

Jerry Lewis, The Who and Janis Joplin are just some of the stars who stayed at the Tamarac Lodge.
