WOODBURY - The LIRR new summer schedule begins today.
  
Meanwhile, this week labor talks will begin between the LIRR unions and MTA management.

The results of the vote by city subway and bus workers on their deal will be revealed today. The union results could set the stage for the LIRR.

The MTA Board will vote on the city contract Wednesday.
 
Meanwhile, a White House-appointed board will offer recommendations for a settlement for LIRR workers tomorrow. 

The report is considered the last step before 5,800 workers can legally strike on July 20.
