Krupski wins Suffolk Co. Legislature seat

WOODBURY - An East End Democrat is the newest member of the Suffolk County Legislature.

Al Krupski won the special election to fill the seat left by new Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine. Krupski had more than twice as many votes as Republican Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter.

Krupski's district includes Southold, Riverhead, parts of Brookhaven and Shelter Island.

Democrats now hold 13 seats in the county legislature, while Republicans hold five.
