Kings Park man accused of killing grandma
KINGS PARK - A Kings Park man has been arrested and charged with killing his 82-year-old grandmother.
Police say 25-year-old Clarence Newcomb attacked his grandmother, Kathleen Newcomb, after they got into a verbal argument over a television show.
Police say it was Clarence who called 911 at about 4:35 a.m. to report that a woman was lying on the floor at the home where the two lived on Berg Avenue in Kings Park.

When police arrived at the scene, they say the woman's body was lying on the floor.
Family friend and neighbor June Lanzer says Clarence was bipolar, and he apparently had a bad reaction to medication.
Newcomb will be arraigned Saturday.
