HUNTINGTON STATION - Police say a K-9 dog helped them locate three suspects who they say broke into a Huntington Station church yesterday.

According to authorities, the trio broke into St. Peter's Lutheran Church on Ogden Court at around 2 a.m. They broke windows, damaged the school and stole food, police say.

An officer and the police dog tracked the suspects for more than an hour before finding them hiding in a boat.

The suspects, 21-year-old Javier Hernandez, 16-year-old Edwin Diaz-Hernandez and a 15-year-old have been charged with burglary.
