MINEOLA - A jury has wrapped up its first full day of deliberations in the deadly road rage trial of a 23-year-old man.

Evan Potts is accused of running over and killing 34-yaer-old Ian Sharinn following an argument in Long Beach in 2009.

In a Mineola courtroom today, jurors requested three read-backs from different witnesses who had observed the moments before and during the fatal accident.

During the trial, the defense had argued that Potts feared for his life and was trying to get away from a raging Sharinn when he ran him over, but the prosecution has vehemently denied that it was an accident.
