Judge rules ME must give Dalton Smith’s autopsy to parents of slain student Andrea Rebello

The student's family has already announced plans to sue Nassau County and the police department.

HEMPSTEAD - A judge has ruled that the medical examiner must give the victim’s parents the autopsy of the suspect in the shooting death of a Hofstra University student.

Student Andrea Rebello was held at gunpoint by Dalton Smith during a home invasion in Uniondale back in May.

Both Smith and Rebello were shot and killed by a police officer.

The student's family has already announced plans to sue Nassau County and the police department.
