MINEOLA - A Queens teen already convicted in a fatal crash on the Southern State Parkway has pleaded guilty to additional charges.

As News 12 has reported, Joseph Beer, 18, was found guilty last month of six charges, including manslaughter, reckless driving and reckless endangerment, in the 2012 crash that killed four of his friends.

He pleaded guilty today to additional charges of aggravated vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs.

At his trial, prosecutors said Beer tested positive for marijuana two hours after the crash. The defense brought in experts who testified that there is no way to prove it impaired his ability to drive.

He faced up to 15 years in prison on the prior conviction.
