RIVERHEAD - A Westbury man is headed to prison for killing his 10-month-old daughter in a drunken driving crash.

Jose Escobar was sentenced to four to 12 years after pleading guilty to manslaughter and felony DWI charges. Prosecutors say his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit when he drove the wrong way on Route 111 at more than 100 mph before crashing into a Brentwood 7-Eleven.

Escobar's 10-month-old daughter Helen was killed in the crash. His pregnant wife Maria had an emergency C-section, and their infant boy survived.

When Escobar finishes his sentence, prosecutors say he will likely be deported to his home country of El Salvador.
