Jonathan Roth to be sentenced for helping dad fake drowning at Jones Beach

MASSAPEQUA - The Massapequa man who helped his dad fake his drowning at Jones Beach will be sentenced today.

Jonathan Roth was originally supposed to get little to no jail time for helping his father in the 2012 insurance scam.

However, officials say Roth failed to show up for court in September and was picked up in Ohio and put in jail.

Roth will be sentenced today for conspiracy.
