Jonathan Kaloust, Navy SEAL from Massapequa, dies in Kentucky training accident

The SEAL has been identified as Special Warfare Operator Third Class Jonathan Kaloust, 23, of Massapequa. Kaloust died Wednesday when his humvee overturned.

MASSAPEQUA - A Navy SEAL from Long Island died in a training exercise in Kentucky this week.

Special Warfare Operator Third Class Jonathan Kaloust, 23, of Massapequa, died Wednesday when his Humvee overturned. Officials say seven other servicemen were hurt in the crash and have been treated and released. It is unclear what caused the vehicle to flip.

Kaloust attended Lockhart Elementary School, Berner Middle School and graduated from Massapequa High School. Kaloust earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Binghamton University.
