Joey 'Jaws' Chestnut wins Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest for the 8th straight year
WOODBURY - Defending champion Joey "Jaws" Chestnut took home his eighth straight Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest crown after eating 61 hot dogs in 10 minutes.
Chestnut was eight short of his personal record, but beat runner-up Eric Booker from Copiague and the rest of the field.
Before the contest, the defending champion proposed to his longtime girlfriend Neslie Ricasa, who is also a competitive eater. She said yes.

In the women's competition, two-time defending champion "Black Widow" lost to Miki Sudo, who ate 34 frankfurters.
