MATTITUCK - A Mattituck man is being held on $25,000 cash bail following a hostage standoff in Mattituck.

Joel Jepsen is charged with unlawful imprisonment and harassment.

The incident happened Monday night at a home on Pacific Street. A 67-year-old woman called police saying she was attacked and being held against her will.

Officers were able to get her out of the house, but officials say Joel Jepsen locked himself inside.

Hostage negotiators convinced Jepsen to give himself up and he was arrested.
