Jeep stolen from wounded Army veteran from Coram

CORAM - A wounded Army veteran says his Jeep was stolen right from his Coram driveway some time between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Army veteran Brian Martin says he and his wife bought a blue 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport two weeks ago with a $6,000 severance check that he had received after being medically discharged from the Army. The 25-year-old, who was with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, injured his back in Afghanistan. Martin says he had valuables in the stolen vehicle that include a back brace and a stroller. The couple just returned to Long Island less than two months ago. They say they're trying to get their lives settled, and this is a big bump in the road. Suffolk police are investigating the incident.
