UNIONDALE - Four companies presented their plans to redevelop the Nassau Coliseum today, but one has star power on its side.
The group behind the Barclays Center wants to redevelop the Nassau Coliseum and bring the Islanders back for six games each year. Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, would help bring musical acts to the venue.
Three other companies tried to convince the county they'd be the best ones to redevelop it, including the Blumenfield Group, which wants to tear the Coliseum down and build it from scratch.

A Bayville firm said they want to bring minor league hockey and professional lacrosse to the arena. The MSG Company outlined its vision for a world-class arena with a surrounding entertainment district.
Nassau County Executive Mangano says all the projects would be financed privately. He says he'll base the decision on what's best for the county.
A business advisory council will now mull all four proposals and give its opinion to Mangano. He says there's no definite timeline for the project, but hopes to pick a winner by the summer.
