James Kalpakis pleads guilty to stealing from clients

Prosecutors say he made off with more than $4 million from people he was representing in real estate deals.

OLD WESTBURY - A former lawyer from Old Westbury is coming clean on his own crimes.

Disbarred Attorney James Kalpakis has pleaded guilty to stealing from several clients, even his own wife.

Prosecutors say he made off with more than $4 million from people he was representing in real estate deals.

The 52-year-old is facing up to 10 years behind bars when he's sentenced in December.
