RONKONKOMA - After nine years of helping U.S. troops fighting overseas, the Jacob's Light Foundation opened the doors to its new home today in Ronkonkoma.

The foundation sends supplies and the comforts of home to deployed troops.

Volunteers say the new 6,300-square foot facility will make their mission even easier.

So far, the foundation has shipped more than 5,000 pounds of supplies to troops.

The foundation was founded by Dorine Kenney, whose son, Jacob, died in Iraq in 2003.
