Jack Pollack, 61, killed in Greenport house fire

GREENPORT - Police have identified a man killed in a fire at a Greenport home last night. 

Fire officials say flames were billowing out of the home when they got to the scene on First Street around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. 

Police say Jack Pollack, 61, lived in the home and died.

A woman who lives in the house and a firefighter were rushed to the hospital. 

A Good Samaritan who rushed to help was also hurt. 

All of those injured are expected to be OK. 

It is not clear what started the fire.
