Island Vote 2012: Undecided LIers weighing their options

WOODBURY - As Election Day draws near, many undecided Long Islanders are trying to choose which candidate seems to be the better fit to pull the nation out of its economic slump. Although the national unemployment rate dipped below 8 percent last week, critics say President Barack Obama's economic record has been dismal. Approximately 13 million Americans remain out of work. While Mitt Romney trumpets his business experience, his own critics have slammed his vague plans for getting the country back on track. All eyes will be on the next presidential debate, which is being held at Hofstra University on Tuesday. News 12 Long Island will have live coverage of the town hall-style event. Many economists agree that no matter what is said during the campaign season, the next president will face a very bumpy road in fixing the economy.Watch Island Vote debatesIsland Vote 2012: Complete Series
