LEVITTOWN - Island Trees Middle School fifth-grader Audrey Zhang is the New York state winner of the Doodle 4 Google competition.

She beat out thousands of children in the fourth and fifth grade category with her "Back to Mother Nature" artwork. If Audrey becomes a national winner, her drawing will be featured on Google's homepage.

This is Audrey’s second year as state winner. She says she did this year's work in only two days. Her mother, a former fashion designer, says her daughter has been drawing for years.

Audrey heads for the nationals in California on May 21. She is depending on votes from around the country to win.
