BABYLON - Irene blew through Long Island on Sunday, sending several feet of water rushing onto roadways along the South Shore.

In Babylon, residents say the storm turned roads to rivers. Water seeped into basements, garages and living rooms.

Emergency management officials warn that more flooding is possible along the East Coast for the next few days, as Irene brought six to 12 inches of rain in some places.
