NEW YORK - Thousands protested outside the U.N. today as Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the General Assembly. During his speech, Ahmadinejad announced to the world that his country is committed to peace. He did not reference Iran's nuclear program. Many people believe that the U.N. was being insensitive in allowing the Iranian leader, who has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel, to speak on Yom Kippur.
