Interview: County Executive Steve Levy update on storm damage

WOODBURY - Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy spoke with News 12 Long Island this afternoon on how LIPA is doing on returning power to those still affected.

Levy says LIPA is doing the best it can to restore power to those still without electricity. He says the company is hoping to restore power to 50 percent of the 290,000 customers originally affected by Irene.

The county executive also urged residents still without power to seek out one of the four or five shelters that are still open in the area.
