MINEOLA - A convicted felon from Long Island who was released from jail to get a heart transplant was admonished by a judge in Mineola today after admitting she has not quit smoking.
"You've got to be kidding me. I grant you an application, and now you're playing games?" said Judge Francis Ricigilano, who threatened to resentence Diane McCloud to the maximum.
McCloud, who has several prior convictions, was serving time for stealing almost $4,000 in merchandise from a Target in Westbury.
McCloud told News 12 Long Island she will now stop smoking and abide by the terms of her release.
