PORT JEFFERSON - Injured veterans are taking part in a 300-mile bike ride to help veterans and first responders that were wounded or injured in service to recover.The long journey started out in Quincy, Mass. earlier this week and will end on Sunday in West Point.The group of 200 injured men and women began the Long Island stretch in Orient on Thursday and are being escorted by Suffolk police.
