Icy roads cause problems overnight in eastern Suffolk

FARMINGVILLE - ? This morning?s commute may be moving along pretty well but it was a different story on some Long Island roads last night.

Although there was not much accumulation, the ice caused big problems on the roads in eastern Suffolk County.

In video obtained by News 12 Long Island, Suffolk sheriffs were seen near exit 67 on the LIE sliding along the roads.

Meanwhile, in Centereach, a car went sliding into the woods on Bel Air Street.

News 12 Long Island?s Erin Colton spoke to some East End drivers who say they are taking it slow this morning since the roads are very icy.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Nassau and Suffolk through 4 p.m. Saturday.
