Ice cream truck driver Mohammad Chaudhry accused of fondling 11-year-old girl in Wyandanch

WYANDANCH - An ice cream man has been arrested for allegedly fondling a girl buying ice cream from his truck in Wyandanch.

Prosecutors say the ice cream truck driver, 63-year-old Mohammad Chaudhry, reached out through the truck's window and fondled the 11-year-old girl last month. Police say Chaudhry confessed that he did touch the girl, but claimed it was an accident.

Chaudhry pleaded not guilty to charges of sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. News 12 Long Island has also learned he did not have the proper permit to be operating his ice cream truck. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
