HUNTINGTON STATION - ? The shelves are empty at a Huntington Station food pantry and now ?Helping Hands? is asking for the public's help. Tropical Storm Irene increased the need for emergency food in many parts of Long Island. The Huntington Station pantry says it is completely out of items. Helping Hands says this is a very busy time of the year and every Wednesday it is supposed to supply food to a soup kitchen.
