STONY BROOK - Hundreds of students from across Long Island attended an anti-bullying conference today at Stony Brook University. The event was organized by the Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth Group (LIGALY). There were 20 different workshops that students could attend, focusing on everything from anti-bullying to gay-straight alliance clubs at schools, to practicing safe sex. The main message of the day was to stand up and end bullying and violence.
