WOODBURY - ? Officials say hundreds of passengers were trapped on the tarmac at JFK.

Travelers were stuck on the runway for more than 10 hours yesterday and had little food and water.

One passenger who needed medical help could not get it.

The Port Authority says airlines were dispatching planes to JFK without getting gate space.

Several Cathay Pacific flights and a British Airways jet were affected.

Some passengers are now being given extra credit toward their frequent flier miles for the nightmare trip.
