MANHASSET - A Hollywood-style jewelry-store heist with an unlikely cast has been foiled, and now two homeless men face charges.

Evgenii Zakhapov, 35, and Vitalli Trufanov, 40, were arrested after an alarm sounded just before 5 a.m. Saturday at the Tiffany & Co. store on Northern Boulevard at the Americana Manhasset location.

Police say the suspects entered through the roof of the building, and one man was caught with a backpack full of watches and jewelry valued at more than $1 million.

The suspects face charges of grand larceny, burglary and criminal mischief. Both men are being held on $2 million bail.
