Hero's welcome for Bay Shore soldier back from Iraq

After a yearlong deployment in Iraq, a Bay Shore soldier is finally back home with his family.Coast Guard Reservist Douglas Williams arrived at Macarthur Airport

BAY SHORE - After a yearlong deployment in Iraq, a Bay Shore soldier is finally back home with his family.

Coast Guard Reservist Douglas Williams arrived at Macarthur Airport tonight and was welcomed by friends, family and a motorcade of firetrucks and motorcycles.

Before being deployed to Iraq, Williams served in Afghanistan and helped clean up the BP oil spill in Louisiana.

Williams is also a volunteer firefighter for the Bay Shore fire department.
