HEMPSTEAD - The life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was celebrated in Hempstead today as residents marched in a parade in his honor. More than 100 people gathered at Faith Baptist Church in Hempstead to honor the civil rights leader. Organizers say they hope younger generations will be truly inspired by King's oft-quoted dream speech. They say that four decades later, his vision still rings clear today.
