GARDEN CITY - ? Officials say a chlorine spill sent three workers to the hospital in Garden City Park this morning.

The hazmat teams and firefighters were on the scene at Tully Park.

Police say they were called just after 7:30 a.m. when three employees suddenly became ill from fumes at the park.

The workers managed to walk out to the ambulances without help. They are being checked out at local hospitals.

Firefighters say the potentially dangerous chlorine fumes did not pose a threat to anyone outside the building.

Officials are still trying to find out exactly what caused the release of chlorine fumes.
