UNIONDALE - Hazmat crews responded to a small fire at the UPS Customer Center on Oak Street in Uniondale this morning.

Officials say corrosive material leaking from a package ignited the fire at around 6:30 a.m.

Some packages were damaged.

UPS only covers the cost of damaged goods if there was a declared value.
