BALDWIN - Residents in Baldwin are trying to get their lives back in order after Superstorm Sandy, but many are finding themselves overwhelmed in the wake. Residents in Baldwin Harbor say that a wave of water washed in from the canal and swept through their streets on Monday. Many sustained major home damage and lost prized personal possessions. Much of the area remains in the dark and residents are also scrambling to find gasoline amid the region-wide shortage. Tree-trimming crews have been through the area to deal with downed limbs, so residents say they're hopeful that utility crews will soon arrive to restore power.
