EAST HAMPTON - The Hamptons International Film Festival kicked off Thursday on the East End.

"Loving" was the opening film in East Hampton - the true story of an interracial couple arrested in 1958 for getting married.

The festival will also feature the upcoming A&E series about the Gilgo Beach killings called "The Killing Season." It will be shown Sunday, a month before its TV premiere.

The closing night film is "American Pastoral," starring Dakota Fanning and Ewan McGregor about a radicalized teenage girl in 1968.

Films, talks and events will be going on in East Hampton, Southampton and Sag Harbor through Monday.
