CENTRAL ISLIP - Gunfire has rung out in Central Islip three times in as many days.

Authorities say 21-year-old Keenan Russell died this morning after someone shot him in the stomach on Acorn Avenue just after midnight.

On Sunday, police say Derrick Mayes was gunned down on nearby Wilson Avenue. Today, police responded to a call about a deadly shooting on Clayton Street.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the shootings are connected.
